Notes - Seth and his brother Benjamin were apparently living together at Horsforth in 1807, both unmarried, for it was reported on the 20th of June 1807 that a Joseph Croft asked for pardon for having falsely accused Jane Kendall, Housekeeper to Seth Hardaker and Benjamin Hardaker of Horsforth, clothiers, of stealing a tea caddy. Seth was to marry Jane a year later. We think Benjamin remained single.
