    • Died aged 96 years. Implies born 1807. Aged 43 in 1851 Census, implies born c. 1808. She said she was from Darley but enquiries at the village to the west of Harrogate uncovered no trace of Glovers. I think she was local and perhaps Darley was a local place name, now lost. In 1881 she was reported to be born in Idle and in 1891 in Thackley. The best bets for her birth are Betty ch. 17 Sep 1807, daughter of William of Idle (G & S, C08182), or Eliz daughter of Same & Reached Idle 24 Decided 1809 . The use of the name William for a son may suggest the former is the more likely, particularly because none of the children were called Samuel or Grace. The date fits better too and a William Glover was a witness at her marriage.
