Lease. John Sharpe to John Clarke, for a year 26th March 1783. J.S. clothmaker, Idle, sold to John C. of Alverthorpe, messuage, etc. barn, stable, three cottages, four closes, and the Leys as before;rent one pepper corn. Signed John Sharp.
Release, 20th Feb., 1790. John Clarke, of Alverthorpe, woolstapler, Thos. Rayner, of Wakefield, woolstapler, on one part, and John Sharpe, of Idle, clothier, and James Wade, the younger, clothier, Idle, a trustee for said John Sharpe, a messuage, three cottages, four closes, etc., etc., to Jas. Wade, in trust for John Sharp. Only Clarke and Rayner sign.
Mortgage 27th March, 1783, as above, lease for £500. John Sharp and Jas. Wade, his trustee, to Clarke.

In 1746 Lydia daughter of James Wade, dissenter of Thackley was born, recorded in Calverley register.
