  • Notes  Married:
    • The marriage was registered at Bradford. He was 29, a bachelor, a commercial traveller of Longfield House, Idle, son of Samuel Hardaker (deceased), a woollen manufacturer. She was 31, a spinster, a woollen weaver, also of Longfield House, Idle, daughter of John Hardaker (deceased) a woollen manufacturer. Witnesses were Leonard Hardaker (I176), Elizabeth Halford, Henry Hardaker (I16) and Grace Bullock (I17). The presiding minister was Simeon Dyson.
It is not entirely clear why John Lee was living in the house of his uncle, John Hardaker. His father had died but his mother was still alive.
