The marriage performed on the 7th November, previous to this one, and recorded on the same page of the register was between Richard Hardaker (#304) and Lydia Robinson (#1022). Richard and Samuel were 3rd cousins.

- The marriage is recorded as having taken place on the 9th April 1819, however it seems very likely that it was in fact the 9th May. Benjamin and Hannah's marriage is the first recorded on the double-page of the register (pages 110 & 111). The marriage immediately prior to theirs, and recorded on the previous page, took place on 26th April. The marriage recorded immediate after Benjamin and Hannah's took place on 19th May.

The clipper Walmer Castle, painted 1862. Benjamin Hardaker (#133) and family travelled to Australia on this ship in 1848.The Commercial Hotel, Walcha, New South Wales, Australia
Built in 1864/5 by Benjamin's sons James, Benjamin (junior), David and Thomas. Benjamin (senior) was the publican at the hotel up until 1875 when his son James took over the management role. Photo taken December 2016.
