Histories Research on Joseph Hardaker Cooper of Bramley
One of a number of Hardaker families from the West Yorkshire area that we have not yet been able to connect to Roger Hardaker (#4, born early 1600).
It is evident that Joseph was a man of property – in 1741 a Joseph Hardacre [sic] of Bramley was recorded as the owner of freehold property at Bramley. He died in 1760 and was buried at Bramley St Peter on 28 May. In his will he leaves his ‘loving wife Esther’ a close of land and a house and contents for her life.

Notes - If he married Grace as assumed he would have been only about 16 at the time.
He is mentioned in wills of father Joseph and mother Easter/Ester.
We have his will written on 9 Oct 1807, probate granted Dec 1810. Mentions children Joseph, Esther only, no wife. He also mentions another William Hardaker living in his property at Bramley, not described as a relative. I think I could be mixing up the families of these two Williams..
- If he married Grace as assumed he would have been only about 16 at the time.
