    Notes
    • It is possible that Sara and Sally are in fact the same child. We have a baptism record for Sara in 1776 and then no further information about her, and we have a burial record for Sally, but no birth/baptism record. We have further evidence in support of this in that the mother of this child (or children) appears to have gone by the same Sara or Sally.

  • Notes
    • We are not sure that Peggy was a daughter of these parents. We know from her baptism record that her father was called Thomas and that he lived at Great Horton. Thomas and Sarah seem to have used Bradford Church for their early children and then switched to Kipping Independent Chapel for the later ones. It seems a little strange that they would switch back to Bradford Church for Peggy, however changing churches was actually quite common. Until a better theory is presented she remains assigned to Thomas and Sarah.
