  • Notes
    • Some uncertainty about whether this child belongs to John and Sarah. There were two John Hardakers (cousins, the other http://hardakerfamily.id.au/getperson.php?personID=I2302&tree=tree3) baptising children at Haworth St Michael between 1755 and 1778. This John was recorded as living at Haworth or Stanbury, while the other appears to have lived at Far Oxenhope or (nearby) High Binns. We are unable to decipher the place name in the register image for Rebeca, so we do not know where her father was from. Rebeca/Rebecca is a somewhat usual name for the time, so we have guessed that John and Sarah reused the name after this Rebeca died young. We have no burial record to confirm this, but no sign of this Rebeca in the later records either. Further, the gap between the baptisms of Sarah (March 1766) and Rebeca (Dec 1866) is suspiciously close (9 months).
