Histories Research on The Furness Family of Hampsthwaite
Rachel Furness who married John Hardaker, the maker of the locally famous ‘Salem’ grandfather clocks, reported in various censuses that she was born in Darley, which is a village in Hampsthwaite parish in the (then) West Riding of Yorkshire.

Notes - She said she was from Darley which was part of Hampsthwaite parish. There were some generations of Furnesses who married or baptised their children there. Unfortunatley, I have so far been unable to locate Rachel's birth.
The was a Rachel baptised about the right time in Birstall, near Leeds, the daughter of George. However, he was baptised in Birstall and so there appears to be no connection with Darley.
