Histories Our Family History - Research on our Pullein Ancestors
Our link to the Pullein family comes through Mary Pullan, the wife of John Hardaker of Idle. Mary was born in Idle in 1786 and died there in 1854. She and John had ten children, among them Samuel Hardaker, father of John Lee Hardaker.

Notes - Presumed marriage and spouse - very uncertain. Catharine Pullein says her first name was Jane, so this spouse matches. Whitkirk is to the east of Leeds. I think that she was Jane Wiley because there was a Jane Wylie of Dunkeswick buried at Harewood church on 16 May 1623, 'an old widow mater Janae Pullain' - I presume the mother of the Jane who married Anthony.
